The Wedding of Laura and Steve

Laura and Steve’s wedding was one that I was particularly looking forward to. Not only did they get married at the fantastic St Elizabeth’s House but Laura is my cousin so this was special to me. What was even more special was that Laura isn’t very well, she was born with a heart defect and about 3 years she was put on the waiting list for a heart and lung transplant but was sadly taken off due the complications that would arise from such a serious operation; so inevitably her life expectancy has been cut somewhat short – so this really was a special day.

The’re were alot of tears throughout the day – It was emotional to say the least! When Laura’s dad first come into the room to see her in her dress there were literally tears everywhere, you can see the sequence below and even when I look at it now it gets me! The day itself was fantastic, a perfectly sunny day and the team at St Elizabeth’s put on another fantastic wedding – it has to be one of the best venues in the Southwest. It was a more relaxed affair for us photograping the wedding, surrounded by friends and family, one minute we were photographing Laura and Steve on the grounds of the hotel – the next having a drink with them and it was particular nice to enjoy the evening do where we continued to capture the event. I’ve talked about Laura but of course it wouldn’t be fair to not talk about Steve. He is by far one of the nicest chaps I’ve ever met – very humble, very down to earth and they make a great couple. Here’s a few favourites from the day……
